FOUR THINGS

There are three things that amaze me- no, four things that I don't understand:

How an eagle glides through the sky,

How a snake slithers on a rock,

How a ship navigates the ocean,

How a man loves a woman.

Proverbs 30:18-19 (NLT)

Wow, these four things are just a few delightful mysteries which man cannot begin to comprehend. The way a man loves a woman has been and remains to be one of the greatest tragedies of all time. And so much so that we (men) continue to fall short in properly loving, respecting and appreciating women the way God intended for us to love them. God inspired King Solomon to pen "Whoever finds a wife finds a GOOD THING, and obtains favor of the LORD." Proverbs 18:22.

That same God who inspired King Solomon then is yet inspiring us today. That is, those of us who have a close relationship with Him and continuously meditate on His Word daily. Ah… as Shakespeare once penned, "Therein lies the rub". My dear brothers in Christ, just as soon as we go by God's agenda in our lives and not our own, loving a woman cease being one of the greatest tragedies of all time.

Trust me, I am a living witness. The set of standards that I foolishly once believed was right was actually in direct contradiction to the standards that God has established me in His word. The moment I got off of my own agenda and clasped myself unto on to God's, He then taught me how to be a better husband, a better father and a better man. All in a nutshell, He taught me how to love.

It is with great love for you, my brothers in Christ, which I have written this today in hope that you'd be inspired to rekindle your relationship with God first and foremost than any other. And in doing so, you'd reap the benefits living a more fruitful life in love. God bless you, always.

Yours truly,

Because of Calvary,

In service of the King of Kings,
